A Full Wedding Weekend Inspired by Texture & Color
This March wedding weekend at The Farm at Old Edwards is one we’re still thinking about! From the first design conversation to the very last slice of cake, every detail was carefully thought out and perfectly executed.
The celebration began the night before with a rehearsal dinner that was just as thoughtful as the wedding day. We created a custom-designed groom’s cake, complete with a hand-sculpted duck figurine, driftwood and cattail detailing. Every element was built by hand, adding character and storytelling that made the cake not just personal, but delicious.
For the wedding cake, we took inspiration from an unexpected but perfect source: the bold, scalloped edges of Weezie towels. That playful texture set the tone for the entire design, guiding the shape and movement of the cake while still feeling elevated and intentional. The color palette followed suit utilizing deep greens, bright yellows and oranges, and earthy browns, brought to life through lush floral elements that felt organic and grounded in the setting.
From the rehearsal dinner details to the wedding day design, everything tied together seamlessly thanks to an incredible team of vendor friends who brought the vision to life with care and creativity. It was one of those weekends where every detail felt connected in intention, joy, and beauty.
From the first spark of inspiration to the final bite, this celebration was unforgettable and it’s a day that will forever live rent-free in our heads.
